After my very summery card I posted yesterday, I'm jumping ahead to autumn, mostly because I just got a couple of new sets from the Project Bin as well as some nifty Carta Bella paper and washi tape. This card was easy-peasy, lemon squeezy! Lookie:
GOJUS! I love love love this Carta Bella 6 x 6 pad because there are some beauiful scenic papers that only require a greeting and a little embellishment to make a great card.
I also am in LOVE now with WOW embossing powder! I got this little jar of Primary Ebony in a kit from Simon Says Stamp, and this is the first time I have used it. It creates a beautiful dimensional result without gaps, smooth and shiny, without blurring.
I wanted to add some sort of wooden embellishment, but I have not had time to pick up any veneer pieces in leaf shapes, and in fact, looking online, I have not been able to find any I thought would work. Then I thought of this great cherry veneer tape I had gotten from Simon. You can easily punch out or die cut shapes, so I grabbed a maple leaf punch and some cardstock and created my own veneer pieces very easily by stacking a couple pieces of cardstock with the tape on top! They look great along with the beautiful matching Bella Carta washi tape.
So beautiful and so easy!
