My love affair with autumn continues. I made this card a while back for the Frantic Stamper's A Crisp Fall Day release, and I've been hanging onto it waiting to post it for when I really needed a dose of autumn. I'm really tired of summer, ya'll. I want autumn. I want cooler temperatures and no humidity! So maybe if I post this card, it will come? Please? Lookie:
GOJUS! I wanted to put a great background behind this beautiful die, so I pulled out a stencil from Crafter's Workshop called Aspen Trees and got the new Claritystamp stencil brushes out that I had bought and not used yet. I chose some Distress inks and started stippling away. I LOVE these brushes, and I love this stencil too!
I ran a line of embossing around the edge of the stenciled piece.
To help the greeting pop off the background, I double cut it, once from dark brown card stock and once from gold card stock, then placed them on top of each other, slightly offset.
I added a couple of little brown jewels in the lower left corner.
