These items, some of which are discounted by up to 70%, will be available while supplies last ONLY.

And now the poop on this list, which might have you going, "HUH?!?!?" Fear not, all will be well.

You may notice that all the stamp pads are on the list. This is because SU! will be having a new ink pad design coming with the new catalog. I think you'll like it a lot!

Your classic ink color refills, except for a few colors, will still work with the new pads. So if you decide the new pads are the bees knees, then don't worry about having to replace your reinkers. There are 5 colors that had to be reformulated to work with the new pads:

• Basic Black
• Basic Grey
• Marina Mist
• Perfect Plum
• Tempting Turquoise

You can use the new refills on your old pads without a problem. You cannot use your old refills on the new pads for these colors only, you will have to get the new formula.

You'll also see all the craft pads on the list except the black and white ones. Yes, they are retiring and will be gone. So get your craft ink refills while you can to keep your craft ink pads going.

You will see markers on the list. They are only going to have some markers available individually. The entire collection of markers will still be available in the color assortment sets as well as the entire marker collection.

Some of the 12 x 12 cardstock will no longer be available in individual packs, but still will be available in assortments.

The rest is pretty much business as usual. Just think of all the NEW stuff coming! And if you really love the old stuff and you want to get it before it is gone, here's the link to my online store, get 'em while they're hot!

A big freaky Smooch!

Let's talk about SMOOCHing!

You remember how when you were little, there was always that freaky aunt that you had that would corner you at parties, pinch your fat little cheeks, and make you give her a kiss?

Well, this post is not about her.

Or do you remember how when you first had a boyfriend or friends that were boys, they might have given you a kiss on your birthday, say, like ME 33 years ago TODAY (the 20th) when I turned 18???? When the guy I had a big crush on in the band I was playing gave me a CORSAGE, a CORSAGE, I ask you and a little smooch for my birthday, which happens, by some amazing chance, to be TODAY (the 20th)? Remember something like that from your teenage years? Even though he wasn't the guy I ended up marrying and he was just being nice to me, I kept that corsage for YEARS. In fact...I think I still have it!

Well, this post is not about that either.

It's about the current Stampin' Up! promotioin, Summer Smooches, and what a bunch of Freaks can do with this product suite!

OMGojus!!! (YILM!) This is a nice cheery card for a special friend. There are sure some bright colors in this card, aren't there!

Next, I've got...yes, a PURSE made with the purse die. I bet you've seen a lot of these and figure you've seen everything that can be done with it. Well...you haven't seen THIS:

GOJUS! (YILM!) I was inspired by an article in the most recent Stampin' Success, the magazine for us SU! demos, to try using my white Stazon, which has sat unused for quite some time. I stamped the outside of the purse with the white Stazon and the inside with Melon Mambo and Wisteria Wonder. It's much prettier in person. Here's another view:

I think this would be really spectacular with some white or colored Jordan almonds in it, for that special bridal shower, don't you think?

Like a lot of demonstrators who booked a workshop during a certain time period, I got the set Gnome Sweet Gnome for free. I think it's STINKIN' CUTE, but I hadn't used it until the Summer Smooches paper made an appearance on my front porch. And then...well, LOOKIE:

OMGosh, it's Minnie Mouse's purse! SO STINKIN' CUTE! (YILM!) I had the brilliant idea of using the square lattice embossing folder to texture the purse body.

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

It's a great day today, a day when all kind of crafty peeps around the world gather to do our favorite thang, making cards! Emphasis on MAKING cards, not necessarily SENDING cards (which we all know I *suck* at.)

This is a CASE of a beautiful card I had seen on the Verve Stamps blog by Jackie Pedro. I loved the sketch and the many layers and decided I would try to adapt it to Stampin' Up! stamps and papers. I am really happy with it. I even (GASP!!!) got out my Janome SewMini and sewed on some of the layers. The result is a card that is very heavy, but it looks mahvellous, dahlink! (YILM!)

Well, now that I have shown you a card, you think I can actually get down to MAKING one and having some fun this evening? I hope so! Ta!

Opening the Vault

Yup, it's time to reveal my swap for the Controlfreaks Holiday Mini swap! This is a fabulous mini catalog and I've got a bunch o' cards waiting to get a moment in the sun on my blog! So here's just one of 'em! Lookie:

I hope you all are having a great Labor Day weekend! We are just hanging out at home and trying to stay cool. We've had a few days in a row of scorching heat and humidity. But the usual saying in Michigan is "Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes and it will change!" And while it has been a bit longer than 5 minutes, the forecast for Monday is cloudy and 69 degrees. From the 90s to 69 degrees. Sigh...At least we'll be able to turn off the air and open up the windows! And we won't be broiling ourselves while we're grilling our bratwurst! Ta!
