It's been a while since I've shared anything using stamps from the Project Bin! I got this set of stamps with my design team welcome packet, and I really didn't have much in the way of dies to create something with it, so I checked the Silhouette store and found plenty of great Western-style cut files that work really well with this set of stamps. Lookie:
GOJUS! I love the quote from Calamity Jane!
The cut file from the Cowboy & Cowgirl set provided this great cowgirl leaning, which reminds me of lawn decorations you see often in Ohio. I figured she could lean right up against the greeting piece, which I stamped with Versamark after cutting the label shape on the Silhouette. I then sprinkled it with WOW Ebony embossing powder, and I had forgotten to use the powder tool first, but I thought it really added to the old Western look so I left it. I added some Distress ink to age it up a bit. I cut the cowgirl out of Kraft Core cardstock and distressed it with a sanding tool.
I stamped the circle with star stamp from the set many times with different colors of Distress ink to create a border.
I used a retired star clip and stitched ribbon from Stampin' Up!, but I have linked up similar clips and ribbon from other sources below.
This turned out just the way I hoped it would!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, Sissix, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
