It's time for a new Fab Friday challenge over at the Fab Friday Challenge Blog!
This week we have a sketch challenge:
I have to say I was drawing a blank looking at this sketch. What to do? Mindy told us we didn't HAVE to use the word bubbles, but we could use any shape. However, I wanted to use them. But what to put in them?
I finally turned to my favorite source of cool ideas, my teenagers and the endless possibilities of internet memes. And inspiration struck! Once I finished this, I showed it to Emily who pronounced it cute (rather than telling me she was so done with me.) I must have done it right! Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps - Countless Sayings 2, Designer Typeset; Paper - Sweet Sorbet DSP, Pool Party, Basic Black, Whisper White, Pistaschio Pudding, Smoky Slate, Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit; Ink - Basic Black; Markers - Pistaschio Pudding, Smoky Slate, Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit, Basic Black; Other - Word Bubble Framelits, Cupcake Builder Punch, Silver 1/8" ribbon, Basics Jewels Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen, Fiskars Paper Crimper.
STINKIN' CUTE!!! (YILM)! If you haven't heard about this particular meme you can read all about it here.
The sets I used here are some of our photopolymer sets. Designer Typeset is (sadly) sold out, but you can still buy Countless Sayings 2!
I used a couple of contraband things on this card. One is something we used to sell (paper crimper) which I miss using terribly and NEED to make this cupcake right so I just did it! And the other is something I wish we sold, which is the Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. I used it to add some glimmer without going to glitter. Lookie:
And on the inside:
