Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have a theme challenge:
I decided to make another birthday card because there was a die that I have been dying to use (har har), Simon Says Stamp Birthday Wishes Frame. I just needed to pick a stamp set to go with it, and Birthday Bits was a great choice. Lookie:
STINKIN' CUTE! That die really begs to be made into a shaker card so that's what I did. I first stamped the balloons and other fun elements from Birthday Bits over white card stock.
I double cut just the words on the die so that they would stand out against what was a very busy background once I added the tiny star sequins. I used rhinestones to dot the i's because the die cut dots were just too hard to handle and stick to the acetate of the shaker element.
I also put a couple rhinestones up in the corner.
I had these puffy stickers left from one of the Simon kits, and this one looked perfect here. The greeting was stamped and die cut with one of My Favorite Things Stitched Sentiment Strip dies. I added some washi tape that I'd gotten from a SU! Project Life kit and some baker's twine.
Again, I resorted to the Sakura Startdust pen for that little bit of extra bling!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, Sissix, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! links lead to their webstore, where you can select your favorite demonstrator to check out with or check out as a guest.
