It's time to kick off a new month in the Creative Crew Gallery on Splitcoaststampers! I had fun with the 4 challenges the Creative Crew gets every month to use Stampin' Up! products.
The first challenge was a color challenge the Watercolor Wonder DSP and/or using the colors from theWatercolor Wonder DSP in the Occasions mini catalog: Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, and Whisper White.
When I initially lay these side by side, it's not a combination I would have come up with myself, but sometimes it's just amazing what happens when you work with them. I had an idea for Life in the Forest, with all those stinkin' cute little animals along with one of the papers that has a watcolor wash pattern, and I put it into execution and was pretty thrilled with the results:
Ingredients: Stamps - Life in the Forest, Itty Bitty Banners, Hardwood; Paper - Watercolor Wonder DSP, Smokey Slate, Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White; Ink - Basic Black, Smokey Slate, Tangerine Tango; Other - On Film Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Starburst Framelits, Fringe Scissors, Brights candy dots, Basic Black 1/8" taffeta, Basic Black marker, sponge wedges, dimensionals.
STINKIN' CUTE!!! (YILM!) I just have such a thing for this fox, I have a hard time using any of the other animals in this set! I just love how this DSP made a perfect sky for my foxy Polaroid-style panorama. I paper pieced Mr. Fox to give him a white face and tail tip. AND I told you you would be seeing a lot of Hardwood in the future...isn't it just great with the Smoky Slate!
Stay tuned for more projects from the Creative Crew challenges for the month of April! You've still got time to pick up these products from the Occasions mini from my webstore, and you can buy this card on Etsy! Ta!
