This is one of the cards we did at my last workshop, and this set ended up being the best seller at the workshop, mostly because people could see how great it is to stamp with.
One of the things that bothers me about it, though, is that every card I see done with it (or almost) has the tree smack dab in the middle of the card, and I like a bit of asymmetry to help the visual triangle get moving. So I decided to stamp it off to the side instead, and I was very pleased with the result. Lookie:
GOJUS! (YILM!) This is simpler than a lot of my cards, but this was a big workshop so I try to keep some of the projects easier so people don't get worn out, and it doesn't take them too long to finish.
The leaves were stamped once with full color and then stamped again for the second generation.
Yes, this is the paper from the SAB catalog, which people at the workshop ended up ordering too. I wish we had it in the big catalog...maybe this year there will be a similar paper collection. I played with it, shading it with two different colors, but decided in the end that one color fading out to white looked better.
