There's really nothing better for spurring some new creativity than playing some challenges, and that was what I decided to do this weekend! So I turned to Mojo Monday, always one of my favorite challenges to play. I decided to grab a set I bought a while back and hadn't used yet (still trying to reduce the pile of unused stamps!) from Penny Black...I have a think for bird cages and birds. I also grabbed one of the 6 x 6 Penny Black paper pads I have...I love their 6 x 6 pads! Lookie:
GOJUS! (YILM!) I chose three papers from the Gentle Whispers pad and chose my inks to coordinate with them.
I die cut the focal image, masked off the edges with post it notes and used my Ranger blending tool to add soft color. I then stamped the bird with branches image over the top and the greeting using Versafine Onyx ink.
I love these little wooden shapes from Kaisercraft, and this bird made the perfect accent. I added the black twine to echo the color of the greeting.
A couple of little green jewels up in the corner help complete the visual triangle.
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
