I love days when that man in brown comes to my door!
Especially at this time of the year, when so many of the packages are my Christmas shopping, done thankfully in my comfy clothes in front of my computer and no pushing, shoving, sore feet or expensive lunches necessary. Ah, gotta love it!
And particularly today, since I got a couple of shipments that will let me move ahead on the kits. I should get out some more of them by tomorrow, then it will be just waiting for the next two shipments to get here. I should have them all out the door by early next week.
And yes, I got some FREE stuff today. Because if you haven't heard, I got my picture, not on the cover of the Rollin' Stone, but on a two page spread in the January issue of Stampin' Success! I was the featured guest artist. And that garnered me some brand new goodies! Yippee! Plus I got to play with a set from the Occasions mini even before anyone else had ever seen it! Made my ego get even bigger, I tell ya! Pretty soon I won't be able to fit my head through the door (after Christmas it will be a different part of my anatomy that will have that problem, what with all the Christmas cookies, holiday meals, and chocolate!)
After people have gotten their magazines, I will probably post pictures of what I did for the magazine. But in the meantime...
In between working on my kits, working on my MT stuff, and doing stupid things like cleaning (totally pointless) and shuttling children hither and yon, I actually got something new done! It's probably going to be a kit if I get enough interest in it, but I will need people to let me know if they would like to purchase one. Lookie:
It's a paper bag scrapbook, all made with the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrapbooking kit! I had made a bunch of these a couple of years ago and when I found these red paper bags, well, my motor just started to turn over! Look at the inside:
Isn't this GOJUS?!?!? (YILM!) It's made out of lunch bags and is about 5 1/2" square. There are 3 small slide-out journaling pieces such as this one:
And in the openings at the ends of the bags, there are 6 sliding pages that come out like this one:
These are decorated on both sides and every single one is done differently. This is how they fit into the open ends:
There is no stamping involved, so these babies go together really quickly!
I'm going to be asking $35 with postage for this kit if I get enough interest. You'll receive full color instructions plus all materials, including bags, ribbon, half a Simply Scrapbooking kit, extra cardstock for making photo mats, and embellishments. Right now I do not have the materials to make these kits as I don't want to order a bunch of stuff on speculation and then have product that I end up stuck with if the amount of people I guestimate will want them does not match reality. So this is the timeline...let me know if you are interested by commenting or emailing me. If people are interested, I will put an entry in the kit store for preorders and based on initial numbers, I will place an order for the materials and will start working on the instructions...by the time the materials arrive, I should have all the rest of my kits done and out of the way and be ready to cut, package and to ship these.
I know it may seem a little late to put these out here, but I figure people might be wanting them to scrap this years' photos...of course, you can use them for previous years as wel!
Well, time to go put on the taxi driver's hat again and shuttle my lil' darlins home from school, where they went gloomily this morning when they woke to find that rather than the snow day they had anticipated, all they got was a bunch o' slush!
Ta!
