Well, I've been keeping a secret. Kathy Berger, who designs dies for The Frantic Stamper, is an old friend of mine, so I was very pleased to be asked to join their design team for the remainder of the year. Today is the first release of dies that I participated in, so I thought I would show one of the cards I made for this release, titled Super Hero. So, as you can imagine, this collection contains a lot of great dies for your favorite hero. This card uses the set of dies called Super Hero Masks plus the Super Hero dies (the two words, super and hero). I grabbed the Fancy Pants Attwell paper pad and matching stickers that I got from Tombow USA for National Scrapbook Day, and I got busy. Lookie:
GOJUS! (YILM!) I wanted to go with a edgy super hero look rather than the standard, so I loved this red paper with the swirly circles because of the energy it gave the card. I cut the mask out of black glitter card stock to add some pizazz.
I used Label Maker Sentiments to turn the Super from the Super Hero dies into a great greeting for my card. I added an embossed edge to the patterned paper to give it a nice finish.
I loved the puffy stickers from the Atwell collection, particularly this star, which make a great accent. A couple of strips of the Atwell paper are layered over a strip of silver Darice glitter tape, which has a nice flat profile which is more like washi tape than glitter card stock.
Another of the puffy stickers was placed up in the right corner to strengthen the visual triangle.
It turned out so cute!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! product links lead to their webstore, so please be sure to indicate your preference in demonstrator if it doesn't come up automatically!
