This week we have a color challenge:
I had a hard time with these colors. I don't really like Delightful Dijon. But I finally decided on what to do with it, grabbing one of my favorite sets ever, All Inside from Essentials by Ellen, along with the accompanying Bear Ware and Warm Fuzzines. Lookie:
STINKIN' CUTE! I have made 3 cards with this set so far, and I can see myself making many more.
I figured Mint Macaron would work for a rainy background so I colored the whole background with Sea Green (G12) and used the colorless blender to create a rainy background.
I made the bear a honey brown that was a great match for Delightful Dijon (but prettier!)
I added some of the bear color and the umbrella color as a reflection of the bear in the wet surface he is standing on.
I put some Brights enamel shapes down in the corner to create a visual triangle, but I also scattered sequins over the entire card to enhance the rainy look.
And now I like this color combination!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, Sissix, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! product links lead to their webstore, so please be sure to indicate your preference in demonstrator if it doesn't come up automatically!
