So here is the final UnAwarding Winning project. I totally went out on a limb with this one. I've always played it safe with my 3D stuff before, but this time I thought I would really show how to make ART ('cause ART is part of ARTisan, right?) with our rubbah. I made a mixed media canvas. Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps – Inspired by Nature, Vintage Vogue; Paper – Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Real Red; Ink –Concord Crush, Island Indigo, Whisper White Craft, Real Red Craft; Other – Canvas, Acrylic Paint, Lots of Love Letterpress plate, Beautiful Wings Embosslit die, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Serif Essentials Alphabet, Basics Jewels Pearls, Brights buttons, Whisper White baker’s twine, Kind Thoughts Brocade stencil, Daffodil Delight 1-1/4” Striped Grosgrain ribbon.
Sigh... GOJUS! (YILM!) I had such fun making this, I've thought about teaching classes in Mixed Media. Then, of course, they went and retired all of the letterpress stuff, the stencils, and the big alphabet AND Inspired by Nature. I really thought I had it in the bag with this project. But judging art is so subjective, how do you do it? Amazing as it is, it is not what they were looking for, apparently. C'est la vie.
Time to move on. I've been making GOJUS swaps and have some other new catalog samples I have made. Time to get on with it! So this is the end of the parade. I hope you enjoyed it! Ta!
