I bought this set just so that I could use the new Action Wobble Springs (it comes with one!), and since my mom had her birthday recently, I figured it was good time to pull it out and use it. I kept the card itself pretty simple since the image is pretty sizey. Lookie:
STINKIN' CUTE!! (YILM!) I colored the image with Copics.
The springy skirt is a separate stamp with matching die (there is still a skirt on the fairy image but this goes above it. You can use the larger image without it). On the skirt I have put some Stampendous stickers that used to be called Diamond Dots but are now called Class A'Peels. They are really sparkly and I have hoarded these for years, only to find the perfect application for them on the fairy's skirt.
The set also comes with this little die for the fairy's wand, which I have cut out of silver foil and gold glitter card stock. I carefully cut slits in the white card stock so I could slide the handle into her hand.
I added a little Sakura Stardust pen on the word Fairy to give it a bit of sparkle.
I added a couple of the stars up in the corner to complete the visual triangle.
I adhered the skirt to the image with the Action Wobble Spring. The best part is this:
So awesome, right? I called my mom today to see if she had gotten it, and she told me she had taken it around and showed it to everyone, so this was definitely a hit!
Of course, there was also the inside:
Yes, her card was late. But we have an ongoing thing with late birthday cards between the two of us and I knew she wouldn't be upset.
