I've been branching out in all kinds of directions lately, and one of those directions is using digital stamps.
Of course, it's harder to do traditional kinds of stamping with them, but they are definitely great for images that you are going to color. I have an Epson Photo Stylus 1400 (now replaced by the Artisan), the ink of which works very well with Copics.
So, the other day my daughter Emily asked me to make a birthday card for her best friend, whose name is also Emily. I went shopping for a digi dog image, because both of these girls are crazy about dogs. I found this great image on Etsy in the 2CuteInk shop and had fun coloring it. Lookie:
STINKIN' CUTE! I use Copics to color the image.
I added some accents with a Sakura Stardust pen.
I used a retired SU! hostess set for the greeting, and the Cherry on Top Washi Tape in the current catalog beneath it.
Some Doodlebug Sprinkles make a nice accent in the right upper corner.
I used the Top Dog set from My Favorite Things for the inside.
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing, helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! product links lead to their webstore, so please be sure to indicate your preference in demonstrator if it doesn't come up automatically!
