I decided to play along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is Winter Birthday. The design team was featuring Lawn Fawn stamps, so I decided to grab Snow Cool, and since there were no birthday sayings, I grabbed Big Scripty Words, a set I've had for a while and had not used yet. Lookie:
STINKIN' CUTE! This was one of the HARDEST cards to balance because of the symmetric nature of the way I positioned the words and the penguins and birds. I wanted the birds and penguins to be holding onto the words as if they were banners, so the birds and penguins had to go on either side. Therefore, there was no visual triangle at all, so I decided to add the little snowflakes to create that triangle, which worked great!
I colored my birds and penguins with Copic markers.
I used colors from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid 6 x 6 pad.
I used the Winter Trees dies from My Favorite Things to go with the other stitched elements on the card.
I used Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling sequins for the centers of my snowflakes.
I stamped happy birthday using Memento Pear Tart and Rose Bud inks, then traced over the top with my favorite Sakura Stardust pen.
