I thought I'd show you another project today from my recent party!
First, I have to tell you that this was a big party, over 20 stampers, and almost all of them were experienced and had been attending parties for years, so they already had seen anything that was older. That meant I really had to use everything new from the Occasions catalog BUT I also had to design projects that didn't take a long time AND were still somewhat challenging and fun for more experienced stampers. The projects also needed to be able to be done without me standing over them the entire time saying "Now do this" because this workshop had 5 projects and was entirely self-directed. I had instructions on the table along with the sample, and I went over what I thought were any points to each projects which might not be clear, but otherwise everyone worked on their own and people who were new got helped by people who were more experienced. We had 4 tables going, the two small projects at one table, and one project at each of the other three. And it worked beautifully. I hung out at the Big Shot table to help people with those, and occasionally walked around to see how things were going. When I wasn't sitting there feeling terrible, I was having a blast. Just wish I'd felt better!
ANYWAY, this is one of the cards. I came up with this a cuple days before and I really love how it turned out (and the people there did too!) Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps - Just Sayin', Flower Shop, Petite Petals; Paper - Sweet Sorbet DSP, Pool Party, Whisper White, Crisp Canteloupe, Smoky Slate, Summer Starfruit; Ink - Versamark; Other - Hexagon Hive Thinlits die, Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Lovely Leaves Sizzlit die, Summer Starfruit stitched satin ribbon, Neutrals candy dots, Whisper White EP, dimensionals.
GOJUS!!! (YILM!) One of the challenges of the large stamping party is having enough supplies for so many people to do the project. I had just enough of the Sweet Sorbet paper that I could do a project that used such a large piece of it and had also bought enough of the Neutrals candy dots that I had two of the Smoky Slate ones for everyone. Some people flipped the paper and used the other side, which was also cute.
