Happy Labor Day! I'm at home, gonna do a little cooking, a little stamping, and (sigh) a little working. I did volunteer, because after buying all that stuff for the dorm, I'm feeling pretty broke!
I had a great time at this last class, but this card was a challenge. First, because I decided to actually USE the washi tape I have been accumulating as fast as SU! has been putting it out. And I'm a bit washi challenged. I see so many cards made with it, but they all seem to be one layer cards, and while I enjoy making them, it's not something I usually do for class.
But after sitting down and actually (gulp) tearing off pieces of the tape, I found it wasn't that hard. It helps that it is easy to reposition. Yes, you can peel it up and move it as long as you don't let it set too long. So here it is:
Ingredients: Stamps - Snow Day; Paper - Pool Party, Whisper White; Ink - Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango; Other - This 'n' That designer washi tape, Witches' Brew designer washi tape, Season of Style designer washi tape, Rhinestones Basic Jewls, Subtles Designer Buttons, Cherry Cobbler baker's twine, Tangerine Tango marker.
STINKIN' CUTE!! (YILM!) As you can see, I used tape from three different washi tape collections, but amazingly all the colors worked really well together for a wintery card like this one!
I have to say, also, that this set is the easiest-to-use snowman set SU! has ever put out. I usually buy every single one, so I should know. I didn't have any problem positioning elements to make it look good. You can buy this set and any of the other ingredients I used for this card in my webstore.
