It's that time again, time to freak out with the Freaks on our monthly blog tour! If you've just arrived from Connie Babbert's blog, you are in the right spot!
But if you started right here, fear not! You can manage to get all
the way around the entire tour just by following the links at the
bottom of each post.
This post is going live on the evening of the 19th, so if you find some posts in our tour have not yet posted, please be patient. The entire tour should be accessible at some point this evening. Keep checking back!
The theme of this tour is Holiday Catalog Happiness, using products now available in the Holiday Catalog. But the beautiful thing is that since the beginning of the month when the catalog went live, we now have some beautiful new Thinlit card dies that help you make great flip cards, with all the cutting and scoring done by the die. Ya gotta love that! And so both of my projects use these great new dies AND stamps and papers from the Holiday Catalog.
For my first project, I used the new Circle Card die! Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps -A Banner Christmas, Christmas Messages; Paper - Season of Style DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Baked Brown Sugar, Old Olive, Whisper White; Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Baked Brown Sugar; Other - Chevron punch, Circle Card Thinlit dies, Circles Collection Framelits, Word Window punch, Basics Glimmer brads, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, sponge wedge, dimensionals.
GOJUS!!! (YILM!) I had fun figuring out how to layer up this card, because I just don't DO that many cards without layers. It's unthinkable! I ended up putting a piece of white cardstock on the back to have a place to sign, since there didn't seem to be room any where else.
For my next card, I used the other Thinlit set, the Label one. Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps - Festive Flurry, Christmas Messages; Paper - Winter Frost Specialty DSP, Coastal Cabana, Island Indigo, Whisper White; Ink - Island Indigo, Versamark; Other - Festive Flurry Framelits, Labels Collection Framelits, Silver 1/8" ribbon, White EP, Irridescent Ice EP, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, dimensionals, sponge wedge.
