It's that time again, time to freak out with the Freaks on our monthly blog tour! If you've just arrived from Cindy Elam's blog, you are in the right spot!
But if you started right here, fear not! You can manage to get all
the way around the entire tour just by following the links at the
bottom of each post.
This post is going live on the evening of
the 19th, so if you find some posts in our tour have not yet posted,
please be patient. The entire tour should be accessible at some point
this evening. Keep checking back!
The theme of this tour is products from the Spring Catalog. I know when I first saw this catalog, I knew that my bank account was going to be a lot lighter. I placed a huge order and have not even gotten around to playing with it all, but I've been steadily working at it.
One thing that I got that waited until now was the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. I had used all the designer paper I had ordered but this one, so when I found myself at the All Day Crop at church on Saturday where I had taken a table as a vendor and a cropper, I decided I would spend the day making cards and packed all the ink pads and assorted other clobber that matched this paper. And I'm glad I did! Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps - Secret Garden, Feel Goods; Paper - Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla; Ink - Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green; Other - Labels Collection Framelits, Ovals Collection Framelits, Essentials Paper Piercing pack, Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon, In Color Dahlias, gold brads, clear EP, sponge wedges, dimensionals, Aquapainter.
GOJUS! (YILM!) One thing I love about the new ink pads is how they lay a nice wet and juicy layer of ink which I can emboss if I move quickly enough. I did this with the greeting and the flowers and foliage, then painted the flowers in with my Aquapainter and ink.
Once I finished that card, I moved on to using more of the Print Poetry DSP Paper Stack and a set I had not played with yet, the All Dressed Up set. Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps - All Dressed Up; Paper - Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla; Ink -Midnight Muse; Other - Dress Up Framelits, Midnight Muse & Primrose Petals Stitched Satin ribbon, In Color Dahlias, Mightnight Muse marker, 3/16" corner rounding punch, dimensionals.
STINKIN' CUTE! (YILM!) I don't know what took me so long! I love this paper with the illustrations from sewing patterns. It reminds me of the time I spent with my mom in Compère Fabrics in Kalamazoo when I was just a girl, looking at fabric, patterns, and planning what we would sew next. Good times, good times...
Well, it's time for you to head on down the blog tour road. Next stop is my BFF, Wendy Weixler. I know she's got some GOJUS projects to show you! Ta!

Seriously neat stuff! Love the DSP with the dress! :-)

I didn't realize the Print Poetry pack had the sewing pattern print (yeah, I haven't opened mine, yet)! I love the way you combined it with the Dress Up Framelits. And the flower card is be-YOO-tiful!

Of course I LOVE both cards...they are beautiful! But the dress die...SO much fun! I had forgotten the dress pattern paper was in the Print Poetry pack as well...I'll be usin' that up!
