It's time for a new Fab Friday challenge over at the Fab Friday Challenge Blog!
This week we have a color challenge for you!
For this, I grabbed a set that was new to me, which I bought when Stampin' Up! had the 15% off sale. I'd been eyeing it for a while and the chance to get it on sale was too good to miss!
Ingredients: Stamps - Take Care, Ciao Baby!; Paper - Subtles Designer Series Patterned Paper Stack, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White; Ink - Soft Sude, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze, Perfect Plum; Other - Petite Curly Label punch, Perfect Plum Taffeta ribbon, Cloudy Day embossing folder, Crystal Effects, dimensionals.
GOJUS! (YILM!) When I was thinking about this card, I had the splendid idea of using the Cloudy Day embossing folder as the backdorp to my branch with nest. I love the clean lines of this card. I even love that I didn't have to sponge on it (!!!!) No brads either, they just didn't belong!
Oh, and I almost forgot! One of the reasons I didn't put brads on was because I had added a little liquid bling to my card:
I added some Crystal Effects to the eggs to make them nice and shiny. Have you bought any Crystal Effects lately? You should! There's a new bottle design with a cap that keeps the tip from drying out...no more clogs! I used to keep my bottle upside down for this purpose, but this bottle can stand upright. Some folks put a pin in the top to keep it open, but the pin WILL rust, and then your Crystal Effects will be rust colored.
I also love that stinkin' cute little punch in the SAB brochure with the Ciao Baby set from the Spring catalog. And of course, I really love this color scheme. I so often forget about Perfect Plum and what a great color it is, so I'm grateful to have this color challenge to help me remember it!
