Our Spring Catalog Controlfreaks swap is completed, so I am now authorized to reveal my GOJUS creation (YILM!) Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps - Secret Garden, Feel Goods; Paper - Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP, Lucky Limade, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Melon Mambo; Ink - Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo; Other - Secret Garden Framelits, Bitty Butterfly punch, Basics Jewels Pearls, Melon Mambo 3/8" striped organdy ribbon, dimensionals.
GOJUS!! (YILM!) I just love the bright colors in this DSP, so easy to make a bright cheerful card to brighten the winter doldrums!
It's back to reality here at the Tinklenberg ranch. I took a very grouchy 13-year-old to school this morning, grouchy to go back and grouchy that his sisters are not back in school yet. Emily goes back on Monday and Laurel the Monday after that. While it will be nice to have them all out from underfoot, that just means a return to driving for yours truly! I saw a thing going around on Facebook that said whatever you are doing at midnight on New Year's Eve is what you will be doing for the new year. Well, guess what I was doing? That's right...I was DRIVING to pick up KIDS. Sigh...Same...er...STUFF, different day.
We had a pretty nice holiday and finally managed to go visit our parents in Kalamazoo on New Year's Day. My mom had an episode on New Year's Eve where she either had a mini stroke or just a weird symptom from a UTI and ended up in the ER that night. They put her on antibiotics and sent her home. She didn't seem to me to have had a stroke at all, but I was so glad that we finally managed to get over so I could see both of my parents. Once your parents are in their 80s, every day you can spend with them is precious! Ta!

Okay - I don't want to believe that saying is true because at midnite on New Year's Eve I was sitting in a hospital room watching fireworks taking pictures through the window!
Had I known your mom was in ER I could have gone down & visited with her!!!

Oooo, I'm a proud owner if one if these cards, and it's even more GOJUS in real life! Glad your mom is okay, Jan. You're right, every moment is precious.

Jan, this is beautiful. I ordered this set in the demo pre-order but haven't had a chance to play. I was sleeping at midnight -- sure hope I don't spend the whole year asleep. I definitely get the driving part. Drove across NY State twice during the holidays so that my daughter could spend some time with her family!
As always -- TFS!

I was "controlling the chaos" with three of my four kids at midnight. I'm sure I'll be doing that all year! Glad your mom is okay. I'd better visit my mom sometime soon. She only lives a few blocks away.

Oooh, Jan, YTIG, stands for Yes This Is GO-JUS! I can't wait to get this set, LOVE what you've done here! I"m needing a dose of spring today...
I so agree about time with parents. If it helps to know, my Mom seems totally out of it with a UTI. Now at first signs of her seeming to be under par, or not making sense in what she says, we check for that. More often than not, the antibiotics set her back to normal.
