Thanks for the measurements! I've made this card and had the same results (floating cake, in my case) as you. I'll try cutting from the other "direction" with the 5/8" on the bottom.

Hi my name is Natalie I had a question so how do u make the pop out card so the measurements are they for the lines for u to cut out I'm not so good with crafts but I'm trying to do some for people in the hospital that don't have anyone there for them so I was hoping you could give a little more in structions on how to make that card it is so pretty I think the people at the hospital would love some cards like that I have been getting into crafts more I think it is really fun I would be very grateful if you could do this for me
