It's that time again, time to freak out with the freaks on our monthly blog tour! If you've just arrived from Cindy Major's blog, you are in the right spot!
But if you started right here, fear not! You can manage to get all the way around the entire tour just by following the links at the bottom of each post.
This post is going live on the evening of the 19th, so if you find some posts in our tour have not yet posted, please be patient. The entire tour should be accessible at some point this evening. Keep checking back!
Our theme this month is Back to School. I kind of got hooked on pop-up cards with my last post and I'm still hooked on Perfectly Preserved and the Orchard Harvest DSP I used in my last blog tour offering. So I decided to combine them in something that every parent needs during the school year, which is a thank you card for their child's teacher. Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps - Perfectly Preserved, Family Reunion, Perfectly Penned; Paper - Orchard Harvest DSP, Raspberry Ripple, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, More Mustard; Ink - Raspberry Ripple, Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, More Mustard; Other - Framelits Cannery Set, Early Espresso Marker, Medium Oval Punch, Word Window Punch, dimensionals, Early Espresso Stitched grosgrain, Full Heart Punch, sponge wedge.
And this is the inside:
The apple is made with the Full Heart punch, which I trimmed off a bit at the bottom to make it look more like an apple than a strawberry. A closer look:
STINKIN' CUTE!!! YILM!
For my second project, I have a scrapbook page done in MDS2. I had a lot of fun experimenting with some of the fun new features. I had these pictures from my kids first day of school in 2005 (!!!) Yes, I am behind, but I told you that before! Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps - Back to School Kit, Wishes & Greetings; Papers - Back to School Kit; Punches - File It Fun kit, Scallop Circle punch, Sweet Little One kit; Embellishments - Hodgepodge Hardware, Back to School Kit; Fonts - LD Modern Lined Cursive, SU! Farmer J Unicase, CK Primary, CK Journaling .
AWESOME!!! (YILM!) I had fun with his page, which is mostly from the new Back to School kit. I used a sketch from the August 2012 Pagemaps. I was able to use the new stamp cropping feature and the new stamp coloring feature.
And now it's on to my BFF Wendy Weixler's blog. I know she's got something AWESOME to show you (because she always shows me first, hee hee!) Ta!

What can I say-it's perfect!

Each of your projects is wonderful but I really like the apple inside of your card!

Oh my, I love both these projects, Jan! The card would be any teachers delight to receive, and that scrapbook layout is terrific. As always, thanks for sharing as part of the best blog tour for we blog stalkers!
