Well, howdy there!
I'm feeling really good today! Why?
a) Finally sorted the cause of my fatigue and it was SOY MILK in my lattes in the morning, interfering with my dose of daily Synthroid and sending me into hypothyroid fun stuff! For those of you who don't know, I had thyroid cancer and have no thyroid at all, so anything that gets between Synthroid and me has a big effect. I honestly was not aware that soy did this. I knew that grapefruit juice and calcium supplements could, but not soy. So no more soy lattes for me!
b) The start of a new catalog! Gotta love THAT!
c) I'm really close to hitting my first Milestone Award! I would love to do this by the end of June, so if you've been wanting to place an order you would really be helping me out if you order this month!
d) New promotions!

Awesome card-thanks for the idea. I just won this set in a contest and want to try the paper piecing too.

I also have thyroid issues, and for me even regular milk in the morning coffee interfered! I'm glad you're feeling good again, and what a gorgeous card! TFS!

After I read about your Vitamin D deficiency, I had to let you know a few things I have learned about it. Among many other things this can cause depression. My 14 yr old son was Vitamin D deficient and we followed the Doctors protocol giving him the prescribed Vitamin D and dosage. From what the Doctor told us we felt that we were on the right track and this would be the thing that would help with the MILD depression and fatigue he was feeling. In December with no warning he took his own life. I have done a ton of research since then trying to find answers. I have discovered that the prescribed vit D was the wrong kind and he was not prescribe enough. All prescribed vit. D is D2 and what you really need is D3. Also the amount they give can be to low and not for a long enough time. The level that is considered normal by the Doctor is to high so if they told you that your are deficient your are likely more deficient than you realize. I urge you to do some research and get vit.D3 and take the right amount. If you want email me and I can send you a link to some great info. I love what you do on your blog and hope you all the best with your health issues.

So glad you found the problem as I also have no thyroid and take meds. I didn't know about soy and wonder, will have to check my yogurt and see if it has soy! Love the card and all you do. Thanks for sharing. Sending hugs.

Kristi I'm so sorry about your son, but also thankful for the information you shared. I'm vit.D deficient so will check this out. Also my 15 yr. old grandson has mild depression and I don't think he's ever been checked for vit.D levels.

Cute, cute card. Love the papers and design. So glad you were able to figure out what the issue was.

I think it is "stinkin'" cute as well! So glad you figured out what was affecting your thyroid. I learned a long time ago to avoid food for at least one hour after taking my daily pill, and two hours before consuming any dairy products, which seems to work. I've never heard about soy interfering with Synthroid, so thanks for sharing.

I Didn't know you had thyroid cancer. My mom just hit her two year cancer free mark after thyroid cancer. I'll pass this info on to her.

I had no idea that you had thyroid cancer. Although I don't really know you IRL, your blog posts are so energetic, so I just think of you that way. So glad you are feeling better. Beautiful card, too.
