My daughter Emily plays a game with me on occasion. She will point to something and say, "Well?" And I will tell her what Stampin' Up! color it is. She finds it a frustrating game, because between the current colors and the ones that have retired, she has never been able to stump me on an answer.
At least until last night, when Laurel and Emily were both downstairs with me, Emily triumpantly produced a jar of peanut butter and said, "Well?" And frankly, it matched neither Creamy Caramel (retired) or Crumb Cake or any other color. Emily had finally Stumped the Stamper.
Naturally, we started talking about how SU! should put this color in their next set of In Colors and we tried to think of what they might name it. Almost every SU! color name is alliterative, and we decided that "Peanut" should be one of the two words in the name. That's when the fun began. We came up with some highly ridiculous names, but here were some favorites:
- Premium Peanut
- Posh Peanut
- Private Peanut
- Perfidious Peanut
- Powerful Peanut
- Petite Peanut
- Pernicious Peanut
- Practically Peanut
- Perspicacious Peanut
- Pungent Peanut
- Plaintive Peanut
- Purulent Peanut
- Pasty Peanut
- Pirate Peanut (we were thinking of Jack Sparrow when we came up with that one!)
And the list went on until we got to the winner, which was one of mine:
- Pardon my Peanut
Somehow, though, I don't see this color making it into the catalog next year.
Today I had my open house and sold off some retired rubbah! I'll be editing my list to include my retired from this past year, so watch for an annnouncement about that very soon!
Today I'm going to show you another project from my presentation:
Ingredients: Stamps - Field Flowers, Distressed Dots, Tiny Tags; Paper - First Edition DSP, Sahara Sand, Island Indigo, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla; Ink - Sahara Sand, Island Indigo, Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizazz, Not Quite Navy; Other - Lace Ribbon Border punch, Medium Jewelry Tag punch, Ticket Corner punch, Large Oval punch, Decorative Label punch, Vintage Trinkets, Island Indigo ruffled ribbon, dimensionials, sponge wedges.
GOJUS!!! (YILM!) I have to say that this set is one of my favorites and it was such a thrill to get it for free to make my presentation samples!
Ta!

How about Precocious Peanut? Peanut Butter Pie? Peanut Butter Cookie? Seems so many color names are food related. Thanks for the giggles. : )

ROFL!!! I always think the names for the Stampin' Up colours are truly ridiculous - I mean to say, Certainly Celery? Bashful Blue? Give me a breeeeaaaakkk.......!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd go for Pustulous Peanut if I were you. But then I hate peanut butter!!

Practically Peanut sounds sooooooo Stampin' Up to me!

I think "Peanut Butter" is self explanatory! It would definitely make it into the Catalog, probably as an 'In Color'!
How cool would that be? Hmm Paired with 'Concord Crush', Doesn't that sound yummy?!

I was going to vote for Practically Peanut until I saw your favorite...you've got to submit the idea for Pardon my Peanut to S.U. Please promise you will?
