Back in the saddle again...

Can you believe I went a whole week without making a card?!?

The mind boggles! How did I manage it? Of course, a major holiday, plus being sick a day definitely makes a dent in a girl's papercrafting time, but the entire weekend, I felt incredibly UNmotivated to do any creating at all. I just felt like taking a break, I guess.

But, I'm BACK, baby!! Lookie:

Punchpals120108

Ingredients: (All SU!) Stamps - Punch Pals, Itty Bitty Backgrounds; Paper - Bashful Blue, Real Red, Going Grey, Whisper White; Ink - Basic Black, Going Grey, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Real Red, Summer Sun, More Mustard; Other - Scallop circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, slit punch, Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain, silver eyelet, Earth Elements brads, white gel pen, 2-Way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, blender pen, silver eyelet, sponge wedge

Isn't it STINKIN' CUTE?!?!? I went to my stamp shelves, with the vague notion that I wanted to have made at least one card this year with every Christmas set that I have. I hadn't used Punch Pals this year as of yet, so I was looking at that snowman and the way his arms were outstretched. I started to think he could be making a snow angel. And then his pal, the penguin, decided to join him. I used a blender pen with the Bashful Blue ink pad to color in the shadows behind the two and the hollows made by their...well, you can't really say "arms & legs" so shall we say "appendages" instead?

However, having them just on white it was hard to tell what they were doing, which is when I got the idea for the sidewalk.

And, of course, there needed to be lots and lots of glitter. Because at this time of year, I'm all about the glitter!

Now I'm going to swan off and try to find something without turkey in it to make for dinner. Because we've been eating turkey since Thursday and it's time for a break. Ta!

SNOW ANGELS-HAH! WHO WOULD'VE THUNK IT? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

Now dangit! I still don't have that set and I wanted to just admire it, but your twisted mind is making me want it more than ever! How DO you come up with such fabulous ideas?

Now that is too cute!!! I have that set and never thought of snow angels.

That is a super-cute idea, Jan (may you stamp forever!)! I have a question...where is your famous prognostication as to what will be on SU's retirement list? I realize that it's still odd to think of that in the wintertime, but would you favor us with a list? Pretty please with sugar on top? :D

Jan, you are *way* clever! Absolutely love it!

Diabolicle geeeeeeee-nius. I love it. Great idea for the sidewalk. TFS!

It is such an absolute joy and blessing to come to your blog every day. I was out of town Thanksgiving week with limited computer access. I really missed your site. Thanks always for your creativity, humor, and constant admonitions to each more chocolate!

I absolutely LOVE this card! I love your snow angels. Now I have to keep my darling little boy away from your blog or I'll hear "Mommy can you help me make that card!" You are dangerously talented!

Oh my goodness! This is the stinkin' cutest! I just got done making 4 of them for whatever reason! Thanks for helping me remember how much I love to make cards!!
