Yumm-ay!

Well, I just made my first card as an OH-fficial member of the Flourishes Design Team! And I'm so happy with it that I had to run to my virtual friends to show off!

Lookie!

Fantasyfloralcps42jt

Ingredients: Stamps - Flourishes Fantasy Floral Garden; Paper - Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select White, Sassafras Lass patterned paper, SU! Almost Amethyst; Ink - Adirondack Pitch Black, SU! Cameo Coral and Chocolate Chip; Other - Pretties Kit Hat Pin (SU!), ribbed ribbon - source unknown, white gel pen, Prismacolor pencils, ticket corner punch (SU!)

Isn't this GOJUS!?!?! (YILM!!!) I colored over the top of white gel pen to get the flowers on the patterned paper to stand out. You end up scratching off some of the gel pen when you do that, so it's kind of a cool look that I'm going to have to play with more.

The sketch came from Card Positioning Systems (CPS) Sketch 42, which is being sponsored by Flourishes this week. The card is 4 x 9 and will fit in a standard #10 envelope OR you can get some of SU!'s Large Open-Ended envelopes and it will fit in those as well.

If you like this set, bop over to the Flourishes site, as it is featured in a special combo with Basic Grey's Infuse 6 x 6 paper and two yards of decorative ribbon.

And now that I've enabled you properly, I can actually go eat my Lean Cuisine (celebrating losing 12 pounds!!! not from dieting, but from having my Synthroid adjusted...I've gained a bunch since my surgeries a few years back and it's FINALLY coming off! YAY!)

Bee-YOU-ti-FULL!!!

Get out, Jan!! You just made one of the most beautiful cards EVER with this set! Oh, I'm so excited to have you on our team!! Oh, my gosh, I LOVE the idea of coloring over the white gel pen. I've used bleach before for this sort of thing but I'm definitely going to give your idea a try. I'm not kidding, if I didn't already have this set I'd be on my way to purchase it right now! Awesome!

WOW!!! What a beauty!!! I LOVE it!!! Truly, truly love it!!! I LOVE your use of the bigger blossom and your gogeous pin!!! And the vine -- well, it's just *devine*!!! What a FABULOUS 1st upload!!!! HUGE CONGRATS!!! So glad you are a part of the team!!! The fun has only begun!!!

Oh, I've had my eye on this set for a while, and I can feel you pushing me over the edge. Just BEAUTIFUL!

Very nice!! I love how you placed the larger flower in the background and the sponging on the main image panel.

I just want to let you know that I really LOVE reading your blog! Your cards are STUNNING! And I love your easy banter - it's like you write exactly like you talk - so I feel like I'm sitting with you having a conversation - one-sided perhaps...but that's okay - I'm more of a listener than a chatter anyway! ;)
Thank you so much for sharing!! Warmly,

Jan, this card is beautiful.

That card is awesome. It is colorful, elegant, and designed with balance and style! TFS!!!!

This card is beautiful. I love the tall size

Hi Jan! I searched your blog but couldn't find an email address for you, so I decided to post a comment. I thought I remembered that you had designed some mini calendar pages and was wondering where on your blog they were? I love all of your stuff and enjoy your blog tremendously.
Thanks in advance
