Thanks Jan! I wondered when I could see you coloring with Copics. You are so talented at coloring!

Jacque (SCS: Petals)

It's just not right that we don't live closer! Even as a demo, I would still take all of your classes, just to perfect some of the details you are so good at! What a beautiful card. Thanks for sharing the tips!

BTW, have you decided if you're going to try and come to the Milwaukee regionals? I'm sure we could find a place for you to stay--heck, you could have my son's room, he can't seem to stay out of my bed anyway! :)

Seriously, let me know if you're coming, because I would love to connect with you in person!

Stay warm--and no more raking!

Thanks for the great write up of the Copics. I'm still teetering on the edge...

so how did you get a 30% off coupon??

Erin K

amazing tips and pics that really show what you are talking about. I"m going to have to print this out to take to my craft room.

If I kiss Anthony will he turn into Prince Antonio? I just knew you'd love Copics if you ever tried them.

Kathi S.

Where is the nearest Dick Blick? You are so talented. If I had those markers, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between my ds's crayola markers or the copic. I don't have your talent for coloring.

Thanks SO much for the helpful tips, Jan!! I have ordered two sets of the Copics and they are on their way to me. Now I am NOT an 'artist' in the truest sense, but I can learn things, so these tips are fabulous! My question is, what is this colour wheel you are talking about and where do I get one????

Thanks for the great tips on coloring! It is always nice to hear and see how it is done, and now a few of the mysteries have been revealed to us non-art-students. I will probably never invest in Copics, but maybe I can use what I have more better. ;-)

Oh My!!! How cute is this...Adorable!Excellant coloring.

Thanks Jan for the fantastic color theory lesson! Plus the great review on the Copics! Your card looks incredible! :D

Wow, Jan, your colouring job is striking! Truly the best I've seen with copics. Your tutorial was great. Often I use watercolour pencil crayons and could put these tips to use. TFS.

Jan, your coloring with the Copics is wonderful. I love how you took close up pictures and gave explanations of how you did your highlight work and how you chose the colors. I have 144 of the markers and have yet to be able to use them much. I seem to not be able to get my watercolor brush out of my hand. You have inspired me to start practicing. Thanks!

Thanks for using the copics...another bites the dust, in this case "pens!" Your art is incredible!!! Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you for such good explanations on coloring! I have always thought of myself as a mediocre colorer (is that a word?) and now I can try your tips!

Donna Baker

WOW, great job! Glad you joined the Copic Addicts group!

Hi Jan!
Just wondering if you happen to like cherries? I heard of your misfortune above, having no chocolate and all. If you don't mind shooting me an e-mail, I have something that might interest you (as in chocolate that is haha). My e-mail is

All I can say is WOW!! Those up-close shots really show what an amazing artist you are. You really have a way with colors and know how to "use them." TFS!!!

wow! Just getting started with Copics. Love the idea of opposite colors. Never would have thought of it....but it WORKS. Thanks for the great tips.
