Looks like you had your work cut out for you uploading and listing so many auction items - GOOD LUCK - it's good to purge your stamp area sometimes - makes room for the new stuff. :)

I know what you mean about sales and such. I was in Central Florida over Memorial DAy weekend and lost my head in Griffins, hit all their clearance items, and one or two that were not on sale. But your card are so nice, I am sure it was worth every penny.

kathynruss

You are just hilarious! I had to share a link to this with my buddy, the champion Coupon Queen. I long ago 'splained to her that she doesn't HAVE TO use her coupons, every single one, in order to save 40 or 50%. You still have to pay that 60 or 50% in order to save ALL THAT MONEY! She still can't help it, but she does laugh when I try to 'splain to her again how to save money with coupons. NOT USE THEM AT ALL! I must admit, though, that when I am being strong and not using mine, I give them to her to use! I'm an enabler!

Jackie

I can totally relate to the coupon fever - I cannot stand to leave a store with coupon still in hand! I admire your restraint and hope you find something worthy next time. Thanks for the eBay link, too, and good luck with your sales!

Martha

Oh, have I been there when it comes to Joann's coupons. I think my stamp room is full of items purchased due to coupon fever. And I am going to check out Zoofari again, not sure I will ever be able to use that set without thinking of your descriptions.

Bev R

Oh Jan, I can really relate to your coupon dilemas!
The only things I like from the preview are the in colors, the DP series papers and that little elephant in the Year after Year set...I was a little disapointed in the preview! Can't wait for the catty though!

Krista

Once again, another laugh out loud moment! Will you promise to make a card with the chain-smoking snake and an ashtray?

Peggy Maier

Jan I'm laughing (& crying) so hard I can barely see the keyboard! Constipated birds, snake lighting up a cigarette! OH - STOP, STOP!!! Can't wait to see this set - it will never be the same I'm sure!

Pam Becker

JAN!! Quick delete thie blog entry before the coupon police see it!!

Shannan Teubner

Jan, dearest Jan, you make me laugh so!! I can't resist Zoofart either though I loath it so. I have the best idea for those birds...it'll be a surprise. :D
In these moments of weakness, I always buy adhesive with my coupon. =)

Amy Ward

Man I saw that picture and thought my mom started a blog. My mom is as guilty as you are of the coupon clipping quandry. It's like the earth will shrivel up and cease to exist if a coupon is wasted... regardless if it takes a $3.28 gallon of gas to get there.

Too much!
Thanks for the humor Jan.

Evelyn

Do I know Coupon FEVER! Your post made me chuckle. I could envision myself going through the same process. Thanks for the entertaining post.

Michelle Wallace

Jan- I don't know how you find time to do everything you do & still go shopping! You're awesome!!

Stephanie

I am rolling on the floor from reading this. I was hooked from the 1st paragraph I HAD to keep reading to find out what you going to use the coupon on : ) hee hee

Linda (LSN on SCS)

I think that coupon fever has reached epidemic proportions in the US. It appears to affect women mostly and makes them forgo latte's, lunch, and sometimes even chocolate (well that's pushing it a little, but you know what I mean). I have two HL 40% coupons that are itching to be used on those little three packs of Tim Holtz alcohol inks.

Thanks for the good laugh. I'm thrilled to know that some of my pre-order is the same as you. That way I won't be craving those stamps when I see your beautiful creations! :-)

Jan Scholl

I always use my coupons, even if I have to buy a candy bar for hubby. Or I take it to Micheals.

Kathy D

Jan, you are just too funny!! Alas, I will spend my 40% coupon on Mono refill if nothing else presents itself...and I have actually handed the ununsed coupon to someone behind me in line who didn't have one several times (to save my own wallet!).

Simmy

OMG, I wasn't going to get Zoofari but after checking out constipated birds and the snake with the cigarette, I was laughing so hard I am having to revise my order LOL. Thanks for the enabling!!!!

KayellWY

Just tooooo funny!! You could have been telling this story about me. Been there! Done that! I moved from Billings, MT to WY two years ago and went through Ben Franklins/Michael's/Joann's withdrawal on a weekly basis. In the first few weeks after my move, I would buy the Billings paper to check for coupons. When Joann's quit sending my coupon booklets, I cried. I've actually saved money since my move, but I resembled you in your story to a tee. LMBO!!!

Mindy Adams

I loved reading your blog today. I am the same way. Never waste a coupon. You would think that we could never go back to those stores the way we shop with a coupon. Thanks for the laugh.

Julie Mutch

My goodness, Jan, you always brighten my day! I love to read your stories as much as I love to see your creations and great tutorials! You're absolutely hilarious! Congrats to your hubby for the extension on his job, that must be a huge relief for you. All the best to you both!
Hugs,
Julie

I thought I was going to bust my gut laughing! This is sooo me with the coupon story! I don't know how many times I've gone in to Michael's or Joann's with a coupon and everything I wanted was on sale! I, too, walked out with the coupon. I usually get a magazine if it is the beginning of a new month, but I don't have room for more! I also can't part with the old! What are we to do!!!!

Debbi

Ok.....this was just too scary....like I was looking in the mirror, hearing myself but my lips weren't moving. Thanks for the laugh!

Sheila

I have tried making the color sampler book but the coils I have are too small. Do you know anywhere on line where I can get the 1 1/4" coils. Our LSS only carries up to 1". Thanks
